Lazio vs Juventus: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Juventus’ title rivals will hold their collective breath and hope they slip up against top four hopefuls Lazio.
We’re officially half way through the Serie A season and Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus remain unbeaten with 18 wins and two draws through 20 games. Unfortunately for the rest of Serie A, they’re showing zero signs of slowing down.
Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio currently reside in sixth place after suffering with the same old consistency problems that always seem to plague Il Biancoceleste, with only two wins in their last six games.
As with the Bianconeri and pretty much any other big team in Italy, there’s plenty of bad blood between these two sides. There always seems to be fireworks and of course goals when this game crops up. In their last six meetings there have been four Juventus wins and two Lazio wins, with three goals per game on average.
However, Lazio will do well to get past Juventus’ league-leading defence of a mere 11 goals conceded. The Juventus steamroller is likely to continue onwards in this one, 2-1 Juventus.
- Over 2.5 goals
Consider that Juventus have scored at least two goals in eight of their last nine away matches, they possess Serie A’s second best attack and are coming up against an average defensive side. Lazio have attacking talent of their own and home advantage, so there should be more than 2.5 goals in this one.
- Juventus to win to nil
A contrast bet to the previous tip but there’s definitely value to be found amongst sports bookmakers with this one. The Bianconeri have the best defensive record in the league with 11 goals conceded in 20 games whilst Lazio’s attack hasn’t quite clicked considering their talent with 29 goals in 20 games.
A Juventus almost seems guaranteed considering their form this season, so an added clean sheet could mean you’re in for some decent money.

Head to Head
As you’d expect from two star teams of Serie A, there’s been a lot of history between these two sides.
Since the 1993/94 season, they’ve faced off 60 times with Juventus triumphing on 33 occasions, compared to Lazio’s 15 and the spoils were split on 12 occasions.
The reverse of this fixture was played back in August where the Bianconeri emerged as victors thanks to goals from Miralem Pjanic and Mario Mandzukic.
- No side allow fewer shots per game than Juventus (9.9).
- Only Juventus and Napoli average more shots per game than Lazio.
- Cristiano Ronaldo has contributed to more goals than anyone else in Serie A this season with 14 goals and five assists.
- Lazio’s midfielder Lucas Leiva averages the most tackles in Serie A with 3.8 per game.
