Juventus vs Roma: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Juventus v Roma is always a heated affair even if the two sides aren’t fighting for similar positions in the table.
The black and white tank simply keeps on rolling, with a 1-0 win over locals rivals Torino last week, Juventus now face off against another old foe, Roma.
The two sides could not be in more differing situations – Massimiliano Allegri’s side are unbeaten in the league with 46 out of a possible 48 attained. Roma on the other hand have 24 points from the same number of games and reside in sixth, and with the home crowd booing the team and coach Eusebio Di Francesco in recent games, it’s not a happy camp either.
During Allegri’s reign, the Bianconeri’s big game blueprint has almost always been the same. They go full pelt and attempt to throttle opponents in the first 20 minutes before cooling off and doing the same for the last 15 of the half.
You can expect the game to play out this way considering the Giallorossi are yet to find out a way to stop Juventus. Serie A’s best attack and defence will be too much for an inconsistent Roma side to handle – 2-0 Juventus.
- Juventus to win to nil
Allegri’s side have kept a clean sheet in their last five matches whilst boasting Serie A’s best defence. The Old Lady at home is an entirely different beast, so a win and a clean sheet seems more likely than not.
- Juventus to score first
The likelihood of this are more than reflected in the odds but it’s definitely worth a larger bet. Juventus always have their game plans in big games, to go all out inside the first 20 minutes to try and grab the first goal. Even if not, Juventus to score first later on in the match seems incredibly likely.

Head to Head
As you can imagine from two storied Serie A sides, there’s been many fiercest matches between Juventus and Roma.
Since the 1993-94 season, the head-to-head record is a lot closer than you’d think considering the disparity in titles won.
The Bianconeri have won the majority of the games, with 25 wins whilst there’s been 16 draws and 13 Giallorossi wins. This fixture last season produced a narrow 1-0 win for Allegri’s side, with Mehdi Benatia scoring the deciding goal.
- Juventus lead the league in possession per game, pass accuracy, shots per game, goals scored and least goals conceded.
- No team average more shots on target per game than Roma with 6.4
- Juventus’ Portuguese wingback Joao Cancelo leads the way with dribbles completed with 2.9.
- Only Bianconeri forward Cristiano Ronaldo has had more shots per Serie A game than Roma’s Edin Dzeko.
