Euro 2020 (2021) has only one more game to go, yet the race for the Golden Boot prize, awarded to the tournament’s top goalscorer, remains just about alive. Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Czech republic’s Patrick Schick remain out in front on five goals, with the only player having a realistic chance of equalling those two players’ tallies, or even overhauling them, is England captain Harry Kane. Amazingly, Kane didn’t score in the group stages, but now has four goals in three games in the knockout rounds. Can the England man claim the prize? England’s Raheem Sterling has three goals, while four Italian players have scored twice. Kane remains the most likely player, if any, to surpass Ronaldo and Schick, but it will take an epic final performance to do it.
