Florentina vs Juventus: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Whilst Fiorentina – Juventus hasn’t been a huge league decider in many years, this one holds great emotional importance and for each team’s place in the table.
La Viola were simply loving life under Stefano Pioli until early October. Through their first seven games they won four, drew one and lost two. In their last six games they’ve lost one and drawn a whopping six games including five 1-1s.
The visitors, of course, are continuing to love life with Cristiano Ronaldo spearheading their team. The Old Lady are a jaw dropping eight points clear of second place Napoli after last weekend and haven’t lost a game yet.
It’s no surprise that Juventus are as good defensively as their goals conceded record suggests, just eight in 13, but Fiorentina’s record is. Former Inter Milan manager Stefano Pioli has tightened them up at the back to the tune of the second best defence in the league.
So you can expect this to be a tightly contested game, with both teams’ defensive capabilities in mind and Fiorentina’s recent drawing streak. Juventus’ difference in attacking prowess should be enough to see them through this one. 1-0 Juventus.
- Juventus to win and under 2.5 goals
Allegri’s men have won 13 of their last 14 matches whilst Fiorentina have recently been involved in some tight games. Their last seven games had under 2.5 goals scored. Whilst tempers may flare in this one, it’s likely to be a tight affair. This one also sees the best two defences in Serie A face off.
- Juventus to win to nil
The Bianconeri have the best defence in Serie A and when they’re on top defensive form, there’s not many teams that break them down, if any. The offensive side of Fiorentina’s game is their weak point with only 18 goals scored in 13 games. With an away victory likely, don’t be surprised if the home side draw a blank.
