Everton Looking to End Their Miserable Run Against Bournemouth
It’s been a miserable few weeks for Everton in the Premier League and after the initial pre-season optimism, the Toffees find themselves somewhat surprisingly in the relegation zone. Ronald Koeman’s side were beaten 4-0 at the hands of Manchester United on September 16th and a response is desperately needed when they take on Bournemouth. They spent big this summer with the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Michael Keane and Wayne Rooney all arriving but they new recruits have been unable to have the desired effect.
The Cherries have had a poor start to the season but got off the mark against Brighton on September 14th with Eddie Howe’s side determined to make it back to back successes here. They’ve been beaten in their previous two visits to Goodison Park and will be looking to erase memories of their 6-3 thrashing here back in February. The South Coast club have been priced up at a generous looking 4/1 with Paddy Power to cause an upset on Merseyside.
Fresh from hitting six against Watford, Manchester City host Crystal Palace at the Etihad whilst Manchester United make the long journey south to take on Southampton. Some pundits have begun to criticise Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and he could do with a result when his side travel to face Leicester in the evening kick off on September 23rd. The Reds are winless in their last two Premier League fixtures and are losing ground on the Manchester clubs at the top of the table. Elsewhere, Swansea host Watford, Burnley face Huddersfield and it’s a London derby at lunchtime with West Ham hosting Spurs. The Hammers masterminded a 1-0 victory here last season against Mauricio Pochettino’s side derailing their title bid in the process.
