The match is over.
Germany thumped Estonia 8-0 in the reverse fixture and will be eager to do the same in order to cement their place at the top of a close Group C.
Four times Germany have met Estonia and only once have the Estonians managed to find the back of the net. Remarkably, that has also not been since 1937 and when the pair met earlier in the qualifying campaign, the Germans were in dominant mood, running out 8-0 winners – a compelling argument then for the visitors to make it another whitewash and keep their goals against tally looking healthy in a tight group.
The over/under goals market is always a good way to extract value out of any Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with online betting sites and this game is no different. Germany’s last three games have seen a total of sixteen goals fly into the back of the net at an average of 5.3 goals per game meaning even we may be being a little conservative at just over 3.5 goals in this one.
Admittedly this is something of a long shot but there may be some value to be had here. Yes, Germany will likely win the game and go on a rampage but that is likely to be in the second half. Taking out the 8-0 hammering, Estonia have been pretty solid in the opening 45 minutes having only conceded once in their last three home Euro 2020 qualifying games. It is just in the second half that they crumble. Don’t invest heavily, but if you are looking for a solid, high value outsider bet with a shot of winning, this may be it.
Head to Head
As mentioned above, Germany humiliated Estonia 8-0 in the reverse fixture back in June. In fact, Estonia’s record against the Germans is one of misery having lost all four prior meetings at an aggregate score of 19-1. That has got to hurt.
Germany to win to nil
Although Germany are heading to Estonia, a clean sheet and win still looks the most likely of scenarios. Estonia have only managed to net twice in this season’s Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. The Estonians have also only managed to put one strike past Germany in their four previous head to heads making a German clean sheet and win the only way to go with popular sportsbooks to extend the match value.
