Crystal Palace vs Liverpool: Premier League Preview

Liverpool looked unstoppable against Watford on March 17th as they stuck five past the beleaguered Hornets. It was a team-effort from Jurgen Klopp’s men but Mo Salah stole the headlines once again with a four-goal display that further enhanced his already-burgeoning reputation. The former Roma player was tipped to struggle this season by many pundits but he’s quickly proved his doubters wrong, netting 28 times and providing nine assists.

With Harry Kane currently injured, Salah has the opportunity to edge clear of the Spurs striker in the goalscoring charts and he is closing in on 30 for the season. Ladbrokes offer the standout price of 3/4 for the Egyptian to net anytime during the 90 minutes against Crystal Palace, whilst he is 14/5 to bag a brace at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace are likely to be keeping tabs on the Premier League’s leading goalscorer as they hope to edge another step closer to safety. Roy Hodgson’s side have endured a torrid season and they have not been helped by a number of key absentees. They always look a better side with Wilfried Zaha in the starting eleven and the former Manchester United man is 7/2 with Paddy Power to find the back of the net.

Liverpool are Unlikely to Run Riot

It’s been a tough run of games for the South London club, who have recently welcomed both Manchester United and Spurs to Selhurst Park. They have made themselves tough to break down at home this season and Liverpool are unlikely to find this a walk in the park. Spurs emerged narrow 1-0 winners whilst Jose Mourinho’s side required a stoppage-time wonder strike from Nemanja Matic.

Arsenal only just prevailed when they visited at the end of 2017 and it could be a similar story for the Reds. Boylesports are offering 11/4 for Liverpool to win by a one-goal margin and that looks hugely tempting considering Palace’s previous results here against the top six.
