The Regal Group let BetRegal loose on the Irish market in 2017. It joined various other betting sites vying for a share of the betting public and was a welcome addition to a competitive industry.

BetRegal isn’t one of Ireland’s new betting sites and has had time to tweak its platform to alleviate problems. Still, no  bookie is perfect. These are strengths and weaknesses that we identified at BetRegal.

❌ Weaknesses 

• Limited customer support – You can only contact the BetRegal team through live chat between 08h00 – 00h00 or by email. It doesn’t provide a contact telephone number, and this may deter some people from signing up. However, we found the FAQ section to be very detailed, and you may find the solution to your problem here. 
• No downloadable apps – If you want to add BetRegal to your list of apps, you may be disappointed. At the time of writing, there were no BetRegal betting apps for Android or iOS. The best way to participate in sports betting while out and about is to access BetRegal through your mobile web browser. 
• General promotions – There aren’t many promotions that cover a range of sports. We found mainly football-focused tournaments and promos. While these make betting interesting for footie lovers, we’d prefer to see a few promos for all punters to enjoy.   

The weaknesses at BetRegal may not detract from your experience but are worth pointing out anyway. Likewise, it’s valuable to know in advance what the positives are so that you can make an informed decision.

We were impressed with the range of banking methods that BetRegal supports. It does an excellent job of making transacting amenable and obstacle-free.  

It’s important to use a payment method you’re familiar with and comfortable using. BetRegal allows you to do just this by giving you a choice of debit/credit cards, e-wallets, prepaid cards and bank transfers. Live chat operates during limited hours. The site itself is contradictory in this regard, though, as it gives these times as both 08h00 – 00h00 CET and 08h00 – 01h00 CET. On the plus side, the team is friendly and helpful, and we had a quick response when we reached out.
