Torino vs Juventus: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
The Derby della Mole is of course always a feisty affair being the oldest derby in Serie A but there’s added fire considering the time of year.
Juventus will stroll in the local derby with Torino in much of the same swagger as they always do. The Serie A leaders haven’t lost a game all season and are just a point shy of having double the tally of their rivals.
For Torino, relative to their recent history, they don’t have much to complain about this season. They currently reside in sixth in the Serie A table, thus qualifying for a Europa League spot and are just four points away from AC Milan in the last Champions League spot. They may be daring to dream.
You can expect the game to play out with Juventus in total control of the football. Their transition into a dominant and confident attacking side since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival has been a joy to watch. Defensively, Torino aren’t bad with 16 goals conceded in 15 games, but Juventus’ league-leading attack combined with their league-leading defence will be too much for Torino’s modest attack. 2-0 Juventus.
- Juventus to win to nil
Whilst Juventus to win outright surprisingly doesn’t deliver excellent odds, the Bianconeri, who possess Serie A’s best defence by quite some margin, to win to nil offers far better odds. Allegri’s side have kept a clean sheet in their last four Serie A matches.
- Torino +2 Handicap
If a safer bet is what you’re looking for, then consider this one. Fixtures at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino for the Turin derby rarely won by big margins. Also factor in that it’s a Champions League week and Allegri’s side haven’t fully grasped top spot in the group yet, so they may be lagging come the Saturday kick-off.

Head to Head
As you can imagine for local rivals that have spent most of their years in existence playing in the same league, the pair have met on the field a lot since their inception.
However, due to Torino dropping down to Serie B halfway through the 2000s, they’ve only met 23 times since the turn of the century. Juventus have won 18 of those encounters, while there’s been four draws and only one Torino win.
The lone win came in April 2015, where Matteo Darmian and Fabio Quagliarella cancelled out Andrea Pirlo’s goal to seal a famous victory and overturn the odds on the best betting sites.
Juve were victorious the last time the teams met, back in February, when Alex Sandro’s goal settled matters.
- Whilst they’re leaders of the pack in Serie A, Juventus also lead the way in goals scored, least goals conceded, possession per game, shots per game and pass success.
- Torino average the most aerial duels won per game with 22.5.
- No player has contributed to more goals this season than Cristiano Ronaldo with 10, and five assists.
- Only one other player (Alessio Cragno) averages more long balls per game than Torino’s shot stopper Salvatore Sirigu.
