Preview of the 82nd Edition of The Masters
Date: April 5th
Tiger Woods returns
The build-up to the 2018 Masters has been as good as any over the years. With Tiger Woods back on the prowl, excitement levels have been raised. Woods’ form has been excellent coming into the event and he is now a favourite to win at 14/1. The four-time Masters champion will be hoping to make it five at Augusta National.
McIlroy’s Green Jacket Pursuit
Rory McIlroy’s quest for a Green Jacket is also one of the main talking points. The Northern Irishman needs a Masters win to complete the Grand Slam. The top 10 UK golf betting bookies have McIlroy as favourite to win the Masters at 10/1. The pressure on McIlroy will be intense and the competition fierce.
Spieth Out to Banish Augusta Blues
Spieth has already won at Augusta but problems have arisen since. The 12th hole has the wood over Spieth at the moment. The young Texan has found the water during his final rounds in his past two Masters appearances. Spieth is the best putter on the lightning-quick Augusta greens and has a phenomenal record at the Masters. He will certainly win a few more Green Jackets over his time. He does have to exorcise a few demons first.
Weather Forecast for the 2018 Masters
The weather always makes a big impact on the scoring at Augusta National. Wet weather is predicted for the weekend. This will slow the greens up and make putting a bit easier. It will though reduce the length off the tee the players get. Whoever can adapt best to the wet conditions will take the advantage into the back nine on Sunday.
