Match Predictions and Betting Preview for Spurs vs Leicester

Spurs vs Leicester

Date: May 13, 2018

Leicester have been struggling for form in recent weeks and Claude Puel’s future looks bleak at the King Power. The Foxes have a tough game against Spurs to finish the season and are unlikely to leave Wembley with anything to show for it. They were defeated at home to West Ham on May 5th and this looks significantly tougher.

Understandably, Spurs are priced up as 1/5 favourites with NetBet for this encounter and they are likely to be a staple of many end-of-season accumulators. The North London outfit were defeated at the Hawthornes recently but they are always a different prospect at Wembley and should secure a victory to cap off a productive season.

Their record here has been superb during the second half of the season with only Manchester City leaving the national stadium with a victory in 2018.

Whilst Leicester have struggled in front of goal recently, they are expected to play their part in an entertaining 90 minutes and Over 2.5 Goals looks likely to land. It’s available at 5/11 whilst a more ambitious Over 3.5 Goals can be supported at 6/5.

Leicester have remained undefeated during their previous two trips to Wembley to face this opposition but their current form is poor and there is very little evidence to suggest that they will turn things around here. Spurs -1 on the handicap is available at 8/13.

Can Harry Kane Usurp Mo Salah in the Goalscoring Charts?

At the time of writing, Harry Kane currently trails Liverpool’s Mo Salah by four goals. The pair are battling for the Premier League Golden Boot and, with Spurs’ midweek match, the England striker has the chance to bridge the gap between the pair and finish as the league’s top scorer for the second season running.

Ladbrokes are offering 19/10 for Kane to score two or more goals in this clash whilst he’s exactly the same price to open the scoring against the Foxes. He will hope to gain momentum ahead of the World Cup, which gets underway on June 14th.
