Serie A giants Juventus need just a point against their La Liga opponents in order to qualify but for Valencia defeat could spell the end of their Champions League endeavours.

Predictions

Juventus left reeling after Manchester United stole the three-points against them on their own patch in their last Champions League outing.

It is perhaps safe to say that a Valencia side in need of finding a new gear this season may be wary of the wounded Juventus animal.

Valencia’s fate is all but out of their own hands and defeat in Italy coupled with a Manchester United victory over Young Boys will see the Bats enter the Europa League.

That is clearly a scenario head coach Marcelino wants to avoid and after securing their first Champions League win of the campaign over Young Boys last time out will be buoyed as they head to Turin.

However, they will have to take down a Juve side who are yet to lose a domestic game this season and who also beat them in Spain back in September.

Once again Valencia are struggling in the league and are not over their issues of the last few seasons and one can only predict another Juventus win.

Expect Valencia to make a fist of it having scored in six of their last eight outings, but Juventus to get the job done and do Manchester United a huge favour with a 3-1 win.

Betting Tips

  • Juventus to win and both teams to score

Juventus has conceded four goals in their last three home games whilst Valencia in three of their last four away games, but Juventus remain unbeaten at home in Serie A this season.

  • Juventus to win with a two-goal margin

Remarkably, eight of Juventus’s last twelve games in all competitions has seen the Old Lady win by two clear goals.

Head to Head

Despite the pair boasting strong European heritage, the encounter at Valencia’s Mestalla in September was the only prior meeting between the two in competitive action.

That game was notable for Cristiano Ronaldo receiving his marching orders and Miralem Pjanic netting a brace as Juventus went on to win the game 2-0 despite Ronaldo’s sending off.

Stats

  • Juventus star man Cristiano Ronaldo has netted an impressive fifteen goals against Valencia in just eighteen games.
  • Valencia have won three of their last nine Champions League away games but none of their last four.
  • Prior to conceded twice at home to Manchester United last time out, Juventus has not conceded a single goal in their opening three group games.
  • Juventus have won the Champions League twice but have also lost the final seven times (a record).
  • Santi Mina has scored four goals in his last four Valencia matches.
