Our Prediction India vs Pakistan Super Four:

India will win this game

India and Pakistan seldom play these days and in fact been involved in just 13 games in the last 10 years. Asia Cup 2018 could very well see these sides lock horns thrice if they make it to the finals! Round 1 has gone to India as they convincingly won the Group-A league game by 8 wickets with 21 overs to spare. But it will be a new day at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Indian team wouldn’t like to take their arch rivals lightly. Pakistan on its part has the habit of making strong comeback from the duds and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed would hope his side shows more character in the upcoming game and level it against a strong Indian team. The game has the perfect ingredients to be a blockbuster.

India

Absence of Virat Kohli’s leadership skills were felt in the game against Hong Kong but stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma made amends in the keenly awaited game against Pakistan where they defeated the arch rivals comprehensively. It was a perfect show by the Indians with the bat, ball and on the field. The captain would hope his side comes up with a similar performance against Pakistan in this Super Four game. Team India came to the tournament with the tag of favourites and hasn’t done anything wrong to create doubts in the minds of their fans and they would look to carry on the same momentum in this important game and seal their place in the finals.

India has the best batting line-up in the tournament and the team has lived up to the reputation so far. The openers Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan have given the team perfect start in the tournament and Ambati Rayudu has played his part well and so has Kedar Jadhav. MS Dhoni looks a little scratchy but Dinesh Kartik has looked good so far in the tournament. Hardik Pandy’s injury is a setback for the side but they have the bench strength to win games. Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have looked settled with the new ball. But it is Kedar Jadhav who has been a revelation. Along with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal he would make it difficult for Pakistan to score in the middle overs.

Pakistan

The team has a bad habit of moving from a comprehensive victory to a miserable loss. This is the reasons they are such an unpredictable side in the game. It was a clinical performance by the side against Hong Kong and when it came to the game against India they messed it up right from the start. Their overenthusiasm cost them the game and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed would want to see an improved performance from the side in the next game where the stakes would be high and a bad game may put them out of the contentions in the final. The side has the required talent and the captain would hope they play to their potential.

Though they had a miserable day with the bat against India, Pakistan’s batting line-up is strong with Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq complementing each other. Babar Azam did well against Indians in the last game till his dismissal and would look to play a big innings in this game. Sohaib Malik who has a tremendous record against India and played well in the last game would like to continue with his form. It is however Sarfraz and the rest in the middle order who need to put their hands up against the Indian spinners. Bowling wise Mohammad Amir along with Usman Khan forms a good bowling pair with Hasan Ali serves as a great third pacer. Sohaib Malik, Fakhar Zaman and Faheem Ashraf would need to bowl well for the side to do well against India.

The two sides look strong going into this game but India thanks to its comprehensive victory over Pakistan in the last game will definitely start again with the favourites tag in this game.
