France vs Croatia Predictions
After a month of drama, excitement and plenty of shocks, the 2018 World Cup comes to a conclusion in Moscow on June 15th at the Luzhniki Stadium. 32 teams have been whittled down to just two, with France and Croatia fighting it out for top honours. France are searching for their second World Cup title, twenty years after lifting the trophy in Paris and have looked extremely competent so far. They eased through the group stage before seeing off Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium in order to secure their place in this showpiece event. Croatia have had a much easier passage but they’ve made hard work of it. Their staying power has to be admired, coming here off the back of three consecutive 1-1 draws, against Denmark, Russia and England. They won’t be easy to break down but finding a way through the French defence could be extremely tough. France’s tough route to the final has seen them deservedly installed as favourites and they should be able to clinch their second World Cup title in Russia. They should be backed at 10/11 with William Hill.
France vs Croatia Match Preview
Didier Deschamps has struggled to convince the French public since his appointment but has helped guide his side to two consecutive finals and they’ll be looking to make amends for their disappointment against Portugal at Euro 2016. Les Bleus are well-organised and despite some late pressure, Belgium were unable to break them down. At the other end, Kylian Mbappe has enjoyed a fruitful tournament and his blistering pace is likely to cause Croatia plenty of issues. Olivier Giroud may be struggling in front of goal but he’s played a vital role so far and he is likely to start this game. Unsung hero Hugo Lloris has also played a significant part in keeping his side competitive at this tournament. Optimistic French fans will view Croatia as weaker opposition than both Belgium and Uruguay.
Croatia have played over 630 minutes of football in Russia and their work rate and stamina has to be admired. They looked tired against the hosts, yet still prevailed on penalties before sneaking past England in extra-time here in Moscow. They were under the cosh in the first half but the Three Lions missed their opportunities and Croatia made them pay. They haven’t won a match in 90 minutes since the group stage but Zlatko Dalic’s side have a tough exterior and they are clearly fighting for one another. Dejan Lovren, who proclaimed himself as one of the best defenders in the world, will be tasked with keeping an eye on Kylian Mbappe and could be in for a busy night.
Both Teams to Score Prediction
Since inexplicably conceding three times to Argentina, France have kept back-to-back clean sheets against Uruguay and Belgium and they should be able to keep Croatia off the scoresheet here. The underdogs have scored exactly one goal in each of their last three games at the tournament and they may struggle to find a way past the imperious Raphael Varane. Both Teams to Score? No is available at 8/13 with Betfair.
France vs Croatia Correct Score Prediction
France only needed a single goal to overcome Belgium whilst they hit two against Uruguay. They’ve only scored more than two goals once at this tournament and they will have to remain patient in order to break down Croatia and find a way past Daniel Subasic. A 2-0 France correct score looks a sensible play in this game and it can be backed at 7/1 with Bet365.
France vs Croatia Odds
