Crystal Palace Can Continue Unbeaten Streak Against Arsenal
Roy Hodgson wasn’t a universally popular appointment at Selhurst Park but he’s certainly had a positive effect in South London.
Palace are far from safe but they are showing some signs of life and have been picking up points. They have been dealt a tough-looking festive fixture list that features runaway leaders Manchester City and Arsenal but the former England boss believes his side have a chance of beating the bigger teams in the top flight.
The Eagles have gone eight games unbeaten, mainly against sides in and around them in the table, and they have been particularly strong in front of their own fans. They’ve netted twice in each of their last six home matches in a run that includes victories over Chelsea, Stoke, and Watford.
Wilfried Zaha has been in eye-catching form for the hosts recently and he will be hoping to find plenty of space amongst the Arsenal back-line. The Gunners defence looked vulnerable against Liverpool and the Ivory Coast International will be in confident mood going into this fixture.
Zaha has scored four times this campaign and chalked up numerous assists and he is likely to lead the line for Hodgson’s men once again. He is currently priced at 3/1 with Betfair to find the net during the 90 minutes.
Arsenal have been poor on the road this season with many expecting them to struggle here. They are unbeaten in three on their travels but were unable to find a way past West Ham on the 13th December. They also dropped points against Stoke, Watford, and Southampton earlier in the campaign without looking convincing in any of those games.
