Colombia vs England Predictions

Other Bookmakers

Colombia got off to a poor start in Russia, losing their opening game 2-1 to Japan and going down to ten men after just three minutes. They have since bounced back and won their remaining two games to ensure their place in the last 16. Jose Pekerman’s side weren’t completely convincing against Senegal and struggled to contain their opponents for the first 45 minutes before producing a sucker-punch late in the game. They could be missing James Rodriguez for this contest but have a number of technical players who are proven on this stage. England will fancy their chances of progression and have a fully-fit squad for this tie. Gareth Southgate opted to make the changes for the Belgium game and the return of Harry Kane is a huge plus for the Three Lions. It’s a tricky contest to call and we may require more than 90 minutes in Moscow. Draw is available at 23/10 with Betfred.

Colombia vs England Preview

Colombia were fancied to finish top of Group H and their 1-0 victory over Senegal ensured they finished at the summit. James Rodriguez’s battle to stay fit is a concern for Los Cafeteros and he may be forced to sit out of this contest. They still have a number of talented players including Juan Fernando Quintero who has made a name for himself in Russia. They’ve kept back-to-back clean sheets coming into this game and they are yet to concede a goal whilst having eleven men on the field. Davinson Sanchez enjoyed a terrific 90 minutes against Senegal and he will be tasked with marking his Spurs teammate Harry Kane. That should be a fascinating tactical battle.

England were narrowly edged out at the top of Group G after failing to pick up a point against Belgium. It arguably gives Southgate’s men an easier route to the final but they can’t afford to take Colombia lightly. They have netted eight times at the tournament so far with Harry Kane scoring five of them. The Spurs’ frontman will be well-rested ahead of this tie and he’ll be keen to cement his position at the top of the goalscoring charts. The Three Lions are yet to keep a clean sheet at this tournament and that is a slight concern for the fans. Can they keep Radamel Falcao quiet for 90 minutes?

Both Teams to Score Prediction

Other Bookmakers

There is plenty at stake in this contest and it’s likely to be an entertaining 90 minutes. England have looked extremely dangerous from set-pieces and Gary Cahill almost netted from a corner against Belgium. Colombia have also used set-pieces to their advantage and Yerry Mina will be aiming to score in his third consecutive game. England haven’t been keeping many clean sheets and it’s also hard to envisage the Three Lions not finding the back of the net here. Both Teams to Score? Yes is available at 6/5 with William Hill.

Colombia vs England Correct Score Prediction

Other Bookmakers

This game is difficult to call and there won’t be much between these two sides. It’s hard to see either outfit keeping a clean sheet in this one so 1-1 looks like a decent option in the correct score market. It’s available at 27/5 with 888sport.
