Chelsea vs Liverpool Match Preview and Predictions
Date: May 6, 2018
It’s been a tremendous season for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s men exciting and delighting Premier League fans with their stylish attacking play this year. They are aiming to continue their late-season momentum when they visit Stamford Bridge on May 6th. The two sides have drawn four of their last six meetings and a similar outcome is expected once again.
It’s 12/5 with Ladbrokes for the game to end all-square although Chelsea will be desperate to take all three. The Reds are tough to beat and although they were below-par against Stoke on April 28th, they are always more effective against their fellow top six sides. Chelsea did just about enough to sneak past Swansea and will be keen to continue their recent unbeaten record. The pair could be difficult to separate and Draw/Draw on the HT/FT market is priced at 9/2 and is an extremely tempting bet.
Each of the last two meetings between these sides has ended 1-1 and a similar scoreline looks a realistic outcome once again.
The 1-1 correct score is a standout price of 13/2 with William Hill and could land for the fifth time since January 2015. Both Teams to Score? Yes is priced at 6/10 and has been a regular outcome in Liverpool games this season landing in over 50% of their Premier League matches.
Anthony Taylor to Take Charge at Stamford Bridge
Anthony Taylor has been appointed as the referee for this crucial clash in the Premier League with the official having overseen 18 Chelsea games during his career with the Blues winning 11 of them. He has taken charge of this fixture previously with the West Londoners emerging 2-1 winners back in 2014. It’s 8/1 for the same outcome here.
Taylor also dismissed Victor Moses during the FA Cup final last season and the tricky winger is 6/1 to be shown a card by the referee once again.
