Champions League Quarter Final Games – (April 4th)

Date: April 4th

Liverpool vs Manchester City – Quarter Final

Liverpool VS Man City

As eyes will be on Anfield this Wednesday for the all English Champions League Quarter Final clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. History tells us that domestic form can go out of the window when it comes to European nights on Merseyside, but this season has already provided us with an emphatic 5- 0 City win back in September and a 4 -3 Liverpool win in the reverse fixture.

Pundits, punters and bookies alike will find it hard to select a clear favourite for this tie, however City will probably take a slight advantage into the game given their scintillating form they take into the game.

Key Men:

Anyone looking to back a first goal scorer for Liverpool will find it hard to look past Mo Salah who has been devastating as he slalomed through defences to netted 36 goals in all competitions.

City take a wide array of goal scoring talent into the game with goals popping up from all over the pitch. Agüero remains their biggest threat with 30 in all comps this season while Kevin De Bruyne comes into the game with 11 goals and 20 assists.

Barcelona vs Roma – Quarter Final

Barcelona VS Roma

When you reach the Quarter Finals of the Champions League, there are no easy games, but it’s tough to look past Barcelona in this tie. With a rich vein of form and having only tasted defeat once this year, Barcelona will no doubt look to their talismanic goalscorer Messi to wrap this one up having scored 35 times and set up 16 in all competitions.

Despite losing the in form Mo Salah to Liverpool, Roma sit in 3rd place in La Liga although they are unlikely to challenge any higher than that. Their patchy domestic form will see them struggle to garner backing in this tie, however former City man Edin Dzeko remains their biggest threat with 18 goals in all competitions.

Whilst Barcelona remain clear favourites for this tie, the brave can take good advantage of 12/1 odds and a generous welcome bonus from Ladbrokes.
