Brazil vs Mexico Predictions

Other Bookmakers

Brazil qualified top of Group E with relative ease, collecting seven points from a possible nine and remaining unbeaten throughout. Tite’s men weren’t at their free-flowing best and they spurned numerous chances throughout the group stage but they appear to be worthy favourites and they are going to take some stopping. Neymar is still returning to fitness but he’s been involved in a number of Brazil’s best moments and he will look to play a significant role once again. The Selecao’s defence has been extremely impressive throughout the tournament, conceding just a single goal so far, a strike which many believed should have been ruled out for a push on Joao Miranda. Mexico almost blew their chance of qualification but Germany’s failure to beat South Korea gifted them a place in the last 16. They will have to be significantly better than they were against Sweden. Brazil should win this game and are available at 1/2 with 888sport. It won’t be easy for them and a Brazil win and Under 2.5 Goals may also be advisable at 6/4 with Betfred.

Brazil vs Mexico Preview

Brazil were extremely worthy winners of their qualifying section and they’ve brought their excellent form into this tournament. After a slow start which saw them drop points against Switzerland, they’ve been foot-perfect and secured their place in the round of 16 with relative ease. They’ve only conceded a single goal in their last seven matches and despite a couple of fitness issues, they should be at full-strength for this game. Their 2-0 success over Serbia saw them re-establish their position at the top of the betting and they will be fancied to beat Mexico.

Mexico were the early pacesetters in Group F after winning their first two matches. They beat Germany and South Korea by a one-goal margin before capitulating against Sweden. They created numerous chances in that game but weren’t able to find a way through and they could struggle against Brazil. El Tri have excellent movement in the final third and the likes of Hirving Lozano and Carlos Vela are likely to cause a few problems for Brazil’s attack-minded full-backs.

Both Teams to Score Prediction

Other Bookmakers

Mexico netted three times in their opening two matches but couldn’t find a way past a resolute Swedish defence. They have a number of talented players but the experienced duo of Miranda and Thiago Silva are likely to stand strong yet again. Brazil don’t concede goals and this is a side who know how to manage a match. The Brazilian defensive partnership has a combined age of 66 and their vast experience should help keep Mexico off the score-sheet. Both Teams to Score? No is available at 7/10 with 888sport.

Over/Under Prediction

Other Bookmakers

In many people’s minds, Brazil are a high-scoring side who will create endless chances throughout the 90 minutes. They have not had many games which have featured three of more goals and are yet to land the Over 2.5 Goals at this tournament. They scored two late goals against Costa Rica and worked hard for their 2-0 success against Serbia. They are unlikely to be rampant during this fixture and Mexico could make themselves tough to break down. Under 2.5 Goals is the best bet at 13/16 with 10 Bet.

Brazil vs Mexico Odds

Brazil start as overwhelming favourites in this game and are available at 1/2 with William Hill. Mexico will be aiming to cause a surprise and can be backed at 6/1 whilst it’s 3/1 for the game to end all-square.
