Arsenal vs West Ham: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips

Emirates Stadium, London
It’s derby day in the capital as the Gunners welcome the Hammers to the Emirates in a game both will want to prove they are capable of mixing it with the big boys.
Unai Emery’s term at Arsenal can take a dramatic upturn with victory over London rivals West Ham, and on home soil, the Spaniard will be confident of getting the job done.
Over the last decade, Arsenal have proved to be West Ham’s bogey team with the Hammers only getting the better of their rivals once in the last 22 games.
West Ham are still bedding in a raft of new players who look like they will come good, such as former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson, and Issa Diop, but losing from a winning position against Bournemouth may have dented confidence in the east of the capital.
With so many new faces on the Hammers team sheet, perhaps the second half of the season may prove more lucrative as time is needed, something Arsenal do not need. With home advantage, look good for yet another win over West Ham with a 3-0 victory the prediction.
Over / Under
West Ham were comfortably beaten by Liverpool in their opening Premier League fixture and failed to score against the Reds which does not bode well for the Hammers. They also needed a questionable penalty to find the net against Bournemouth.
Plus, their record at the Emirates instils even less confidence in West Ham. The Hammers have managed a total of just five goals in their last eight trips to face Arsenal in all competitions making a Gunners clean sheet a likely scenario.
Remarkably, only one of the last nine goals scored between the two has been netted in the first half – even in Arsenal’s 4-1 home win in April of this year.

Head to Head
Look away now if you’re a West Ham fan because your record against the Gunners is dismal.
So bad in fact that from the 3 January 2010 to the 14 March 2015, you lost every game played against Arsenal.
That was a 10-match winning run for the North Londoners and it has not got much better since.
Just one win has followed in the seven games since with Arsenal claiming another four victories and two draws.
However, West Ham did manage a point at home against the Gunner last season but at the Emirates Arsenal were rampant again in a 4-1 win back in April.
- Since the 29 September 2007, West Ham have picked up just 7 put of a possible 60 points against the Gunners.
- West Ham conceded more goals on the road than any other team last season with a total of 42, they already have 4 against this season after one away game.
- With 117 through balls last season, Arsenal fell just one short of equalling Manchester City’s total of 118.
- Arsenal had a whopping 222 more shots than West Ham last season.
- West Ham conceded the joint highest number of penalties last season with 7 (level with Swansea).
