Chelsea vs-Man UTD

Manchester United sealed second place in the Premier League and they can cap off a relatively successful season by lifting the FA Cup on May 19th. Jose Mourinho claimed his side “were distracted” by the competition during their 1-0 victory against Watford on the final of the season. The Red Devils are targetting their first piece of silverware of the season and the Portuguese boss made nine changes for the game against the Hornets as he rested a number of key players ahead of this showpiece event at Wembley.

William Hill make Manchester United favourites at 13/8 for this tie and there will be many people who fancy them for success at Wembley. Mourinho’s side are always handy in cup competitions and he’ll be determined to get one over his former club. Chelsea can be backed at 19/10 whilst it’s 11/5 for these sides to require extra time or possibly even penalties.

The Red Devils might not complete the job inside 90 minutes but they are 20/23 with Betfair to lift the trophy and that looks like a sensible bet.

Chelsea had been on a good run of form but ended the season on a disappointing note as they were hammered by Newcastle at St. James’ Park. Fans were not happy with that performance and many called for the sacking of Antonio Conte after the final whistle. That performance was far from the ideal preparation for this FA Cup tie.

This game is likely to be the final game in charge for the Italian and many supporters are speculating that the players aren’t performing for their boss. Maurizio Sarri is just one of the names who has been linked with the potential vacancy.

Marcus Rashford netted the winner against Watford on May 13th and the England striker is priced at 6/1 to open the scoring in this game. With Anthony Martial potentially out injured, Rashford could feature here. Romelu Lukaku is likely to be first choice, however, and the big Belgian can be backed at 5/1 to net the opener.

Finally, two of the last three meetings between these sides in the FA Cup have ended with just a single goal. Under 2.5 Goals can be backed at 6/10 with Betfred.
