Tottenham vs Huddersfield: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Saturday, April 13, 2019, 7:30 am
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
Third placed Tottenham welcome already relegated Huddersfield to their new stadium for this Saturday’s early kick off Premier League game.
Tottenham played their first game at their new stadium and ran out 2-0 winners over Crystal Palace on the weekend – that win ended a run of two 2-1 defeats in a row to Southampton and Liverpool in the Premier League. Their attentions will now turn to their midweek tie with Manchester City in the Champions League.
Huddersfield have lost their last five league games in a row – and lost 4-1 at home to Leicester on Saturday. The Terriers have won just three games in the Premier League this season and have won just once in their last 20 league matches.
Tottenham came second in their Champions League group behind Barcelona but ahead of Inter and PSV – they went on to beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0 at home in the first leg of the first knock out round before winning 1-0 in Germany to set up a quarter-final tie with Manchester City. Eric Dier, Serge Aurier, and Eric Lamela could all miss out through injury.
Huddersfield have failed to score in three attempts against Spurs since they returned to the top flight while conceding eight times. French striker Adama Diakhaby will miss out through injury while Philip Billing and Laurent Depoitre are slight doubts. A 3-0 win for Tottenham is worth a shout.
Tottenham to win to nil
Huddersfield have scored a measly 19 times this season and have managed just three in their last eight away games.
Total goals over 2.5
Tottenham will want to impress the home fans in their new stadium and run up the score line and that could be why the bookies are offering odds for the over 2.5 goals scored market.
