St. Louis Blues at Vegas Golden Knights: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips
Friday November 16th, 10:00 pm ET
The St. Louis Blues head to the desert to play the Vegas Golden Knights in a Friday night Western Conference showdown.
It’ll be the first game of a back-to-back for the St. Louis Blues as they look to turn their season around and start trending in the right direction. They have just 15 points after 15 games and will be in the midst of a difficult three game road trip when they visit T-Mobile Arena.
It remains to be seen who will get the nod in between the posts for this one, but with the Blues playing on consecutive nights it is very likely we will see Chad Johnson and Jake Allen each play one game. Johnson helped the team earn their first shutout of the season last Friday, while Allen has struggled early on in the campaign. Regardless of who is net though, they will need to plenty of help in front of them if they have any chance of escaping Vegas with two points.
The Golden Knights have not looked like the same team that went to the Stanley Cup final last season, but they have still been pretty good on home ice though – losing just two of their first seven games at T-Mobile Arena in regulation. They had one of the best records in the league last year in their own building and are looking to ensure that is the case once again for the current campaign.
They still find themselves near the bottom of the Western Conference though, and besides a three-game win streak in the middle of October have failed to win consecutive contests any other time. Their lack of consistency is the main reason they find themselves with just 15 points after 18 games and will be desperate for a win on Friday.
Neither team has been lightning up the lamp early on in the campaign, with Vegas in particular proving to be one of the league’s lowest scoring teams. There shouldn’t be too many pucks finding the back of the net on Friday.
- Vegas to win in regulation
Vegas has not looked great to start the season, but neither has St. Louis. The Golden Knights do enjoy playing at home though and will be expected to emerge from this one with a win.
