Sports Interaction PGA Tour Palmetto Championship Betting Odds

The 2021 PGA Tour has been as good as ever, and with the Memorial Tournament in the books, golf bettors can look forward to the Palmetto Championship this weekend.

Initially, we were supposed to get the RBC Canadian Open, which was set to be hosted in Ontario but was canceled due to concerns over COVID-19.

The Palmetto Championship has been added to replace the RBC Canadian Open and is set to be played in South Carolina at the Congaree Golf Club.

The golf course is relatively new but is already widely recognized as one of the best courses in the United States. It is a par 71 at 7,655 yards.

A couple of promising amateurs are set to make their debuts at this tournament, including John Pak and Davis Thompson. However, the top betting favorite is South Carolina native Dustin Johnson at odds of +722.

Johnson had a poor showing at the previous major, and with the U.S. Open on deck next week, he’ll be looking to make some noise this weekend ahead of that major.

Notably, we won’t be seeing No. 2 ranked golfer John Rahm this week. Rahm was leading in the Memorial Tournament last week before he was forced to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19. However, he should be good to go for the U.S. Open next weekend.

Following Johnson, the betting favorites are Brooks Koepka (+800), Tyrrell Hatton (+1200), Matthew Fitzpatrick (+1400), Sungjae Im (+1500), and Tommy Fleetwood (+1700).

For a solid dark horse value pick, Doc Redman (+5700) is the best bet. Golf pundits everywhere believe that Redman is on the come-up and could make a splash this weekend by winning the Palmetto Tournament.
