Round 16 Leg 1/2
Europa League experts Sevilla welcome a Slavia Prague side to Seville looking to put some recent poor form behind them.
Sevilla put themselves in a great position after their round of 32 first leg match against Lazio by winning in Rome. A 2-0 victory at home in the second leg confirmed their passage into this round from a potentially tricky draw – and they will be happy with the chance to get a few goals in this one against Slavia Prague.
Most sport betting sites now have Slavia Prague as the club most unlikely to win the Europa League and a tie with Sevilla has a lot to do with that. But a 4-1 win in Belgium in their second leg match against Genk saw the Czech club through to this stage – and they could pose a problem for the Spanish side.
Sevilla seem to be saving themselves for their favourite competition. They have only won one of the last seven in the league and were dumped out of the Copa del Rey at the quarter final stage – losing 6-1 to Barcelona in their second leg match. The Spanish side will be confident of winning this one however – and the bookies have them as odds on favourites.
Slavia Prague have a fight on their hands at the top of the Czech league but would dearly love to progress in European competition, especially after Viktoria Plzen were knocked out in the last round. But getting a result against Sevilla away from home is a big ask and this one could end 2-0 to the hosts.
- Sevilla to win 2-0
With Sevilla heavily fancied to win this match it is difficult finding any bets with value.
- Sevilla to win to nil
Slavia Prague may have been able to score four away in the last round but that seems unlikely in Spain.

- Sevilla are scoring a lot of goals in the Europa League this season – only Eintracht Frankfurt and Salzburg have recorded more.
- They may not have scored as many as Sevilla, but Slavia Prague have been getting close and only Chelsea and Salzburg have attempted more shots.
