Monday, October 15th, 8:15 pm Eastern Time Lambeau Field Predictions | Betting Tips | Statistics Bet Now With Sports Interaction The 49ers attempt to make the best out of what appears to be a lost season, while Green Bay looks to keep pace with the surprisingly impressive Chicago Bears in a tough NFC North division. Predictions Since Jimmy Garoppolo has gone down with a season ending injury, QB CJ Beathard has taken the reigns as the 49er signal caller, and done an admirable job with what he’s been given to work with. Beathard has thrown for nearly 650 combined yards in his two starts this season. He has however made costly mistakes in both games, leading to losses. The 49ers have an incomplete roster, and a backup QB, so their struggles are understandable, but the Packers struggles? Not so much. Coming off a disappointing defeat at the hands of their divisional rivals the Detroit Lions, Aaron Rodgers has struggled to find a consistent number two option in the passing game behind Davante Adams. The play calling has been extremely imbalanced in favor of a passing game that is dealing with an abundance of injuries. Aaron Jones needs to be featured in the running game this week. Since returning from suspension in week 3, Jones has averaged an astonishing 6.1 ypc, but has only carried the ball 24 times. The Packers have struggled against teams that feature multiple pass catchers, and good news this week, the 9ers don’t have multiple pass catchers to face. George Kittle is the only San Fran pass catcher worth discussing, and will impose a tough matchup for Green Bay safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix. In the backfield San Fran will be without running back Matt Brieda who is 5th in the NFL in rushing yards. While this has the looks to be a cakewalk, Green Bay’s injuries on offense and inept play calling should see them struggle against a stingy San Francisco defense. When it comes down to it, give me Aaron Rodgers over CJ Beathard. Score prediction: Packers win 30-24 Betting Tips 49ers (+9.5) at Packers (-9.5) Via betway: Take 49ers (+9.5) The Packers are a struggling team at the moment, while the 49ers, also struggling, have been competitive. The 49ers have lost their previous two games by a combined average of 6 points. Over/Under 46.5 pts. Via betway: Take the Over While it is true that San Francisco’s defense has been a bright spot for the team this season, ranking in the top half of the league in nearly every category, the one blatant struggle has been giving up points. They have surrendered the 3rd most points in the NFL, and Aaron Rodgers should be able to add to that number. Also CJ Beathard may not be the most talented QB around, but San Fran has allowed him to sling the ball around, and should continue this trend without Brieda to hand the ball to.
