Saints vs Eagles: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips
Sunday November 18th, 4:25 pm (ET)
Lincoln Financial Field
The Saints look to continue their dominant ways versus a Philly team that looks to turn around their dwindling season before its too late.
The Saints are hitting on all cylinders, and are looking like the league’s best team. In back-to-back weeks they’ve dethroned the previously undefeated LA Rams, and followed that up with a 51-14 shellacking of the Cincinnati Bengals. The dynamic duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram was on full display in Cinci, combining for 264 total yards and three touchdowns.
It may be safe to say that Philadelphia is in the midst of experiencing a Super Bowl hangover. They have dropped two of their previous three games, and currently sit in third place in their own division. The tandem of Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz has done their part to try and carry Philly’s offense. Wentz has thrown for 300 yards or tossed three touchdowns in six of his seven starts this season. Ertz is coming off a monster game, reeling in 14 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Ertz now ranks third in the NFL, regardless of position, in receptions with 75.
New Orleans is just one game removed from surrendering 35 points and nearly 400 yards passing. Wentz and company will have their moments, and keep the game interesting. Where New Orleans will pull away, is on the ground. The Eagles surrendered 7.9 ypc to Ezekiel Elliot a week ago. The dynamic duo of Ingram and Kamara will eat up yardage this Sunday afternoon.
Score prediction: Saints Win 35-28
The Eagles haven’t lost a game by more than seven points all season. Philly is fighting to stay in the playoff race, as a loss could eliminate them from real contention. A win may be unlikely, but that doesn’t mean they won’t come close.
New Orleans averages nearly 37 points a game on their own, and are coming off a 51 point explosion a week ago. In the last two weeks, the Saints have averaged 48 points. Carson Wentz has thrown for three touchdowns in two of his last four games. Points will not be an issue come Sunday.
