Spanish high-flyers Real Betis look to continue their fine season with a win away at Rennes impressive Roazhon Park.
La Liga outfit Real Betis have once again surprised many of the best bookmakers with their consistently strong performance especially in Europe.
After gliding through the Europa League group stages without tasting defeat, Quique Setién’s Betico’s also find themselves in the hunt for a top four spot in La Liga after once again impressing this season.
Admittedly, a 3-0 defeat to Leganes at the weekend took the shine off somewhat but the general feeling is that Betis are going to mount a serious assault on the Europa League this season as a genuine chance of collecting some silverware.
However, that is not to say they will have it all their own way against a Rennes side who have proven stoic at home recently.
Three wins on the bounce at Roazhon Park is proof enough of that for Julien Stéphan although whereas Real Betis may be prioritising the Europa League, Rennes may be focusing more on the league.
That is where Betis will strike and take that European pedigree and unbeaten record this season in the competition to account.
It will not be a high-scoring affair, but Betis look like the side who have the edge in European competitions this season especially after Rennes scraped through their group with three defeats.
Expect Betis to snatch a 1-0 away win and bring them to Seville with the bit between their teeth,
- Real Betis to win
It is hard to look beyond Betis for the away win and popular betting sites agree. Unbeaten in competition this season and recording that impressive win away at Milan can only go to swing the balance in favour of the Spaniards even if Rennes have been impressive of late.
- Betis to score in the first half
Three of Real Betis’s last four Europa League goals has come in the first half making this a great way to go for an early pay out.
