Estádio do Dragão
Quarter Final Leg 2/2
Liverpool travel to Portugal with one foot in the semi final as a two-goal cushion gives the Premier League side the upper hand.
Porto have won every single game they have played at home in the Champions League this season – and know that they will have to keep that achievement going if they are to proceed to the semi final. The 3-1 win over Roma in the last round will be a huge inspiration for the Portuguese champions.
Liverpool continue their quest to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season – and have a precious two goal lead from the first leg. The bookies have Jürgen Klopp’s men favourites to win this match – and the tie – but it will be a tough task in the in the Estadio do Dragao.
Porto are neck and neck with Benfica in the race for the Portuguese league title – but would surely concede domestic success for a chance to lift the Champions League trophy. Sergio Conceicao’s side have not been favoured by the betting sites all the way through this competition but they will fancy themselves at home.
With Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool are always dangerous going forward and an early goal would just about kill off this tie. The second leg will be tougher for the English side than some are predicting, but a 2-2 draw would see them through.
Porto have to go for the win here so fans should definitely expect a thrilling match. Liverpool are too strong though and a draw is the more likely outcome.
Total goals over 3.5
If Porto can snatch an early goal this could be an absolute cracker. It would also mean that there will be more than a few goals.
