The Vikings are coming off a loss to the Pats, and have played .500 football over the past six games. The Seahawks, on the other hand, are 3-0 over the last three weeks, and 4-2 in their last six games.

Predictions

The Vikings just seem off at this point. Kirk Cousins has thrown six interceptions in his last six games, and their dominant run game from a year ago has stayed in 2017. They now rank 30th in rushing offense this season. Even Adam Thielen, who, through ten games was making a claim for the offensive player of the year, topping 100 yards in each game, has really cooled off. Thielen has been held under 67 yards receiving in three of his last four games, and has failed to eclipse 30 yards of receiving in two of those games.

While the Vikings struggle to find their identity as a team, the Seahawks know exactly who they are. Seattle will run the ball right at you, get up, run the ball again, and then on third down, you guessed it, run it once again. The Hawks top the list of rushing offenses on the season, averaging nearly 150 ypg. The Seahawks’ run-first mentality has, in return, made the team a more consistent passing unit. Russell Wilson has thrown 29 touchdowns to just five interceptions this season. Wilson has had a QB rating over 110% in each of the past four games.

Chris Carson being listed as questionable is worrisome, but he seems to be on the injury report every week and Pete Carroll believes he’ll be good to go come Monday night. The Seahawks defense, which has held opponents to a combined average of 21.5 points over the last two weeks, should bode well against a Vikings offense that has averaged a measly 18 points over their last three games.

Score prediction: Seahawks win 27-20

Betting Tips

The Seahawks are clearly the better team at this point, and the fact that they get to play with one of the league’s top-two home field advantages is just an added bonus. In their seven victories this season, Seattle has won by an average of 12+ points.

Despite being pegged as a ground and pound team, Seattle’s offense has lit up the scoreboard of late, averaging nearly 33 ppg over the last four weeks. Minnesota’s run game may continue to be missing in action, but if they can get their passing game on track, they’ll add enough to the scoreboard to put this game over the score total.
