Best matches of the week

Columbus Blue Jackets at Detroit Red Wings

Detroit Red WingsDetroit Red Wings

TipThe Columbus Blue Jackets have proven themselves to be one of the best teams on the road. They have also shown themselves to be one of the highest-scoring teams in the league with quite the potent offence. Expect them to get the job done against a weak Red Wings side. The over may also be worth putting some money on.

Ottawa Senators at New York Rangers

New York RangersNew York Rangers

TipTo many people’s surprise, the New York Rangers have been a top team in the Metropolitan Division as they battle it out with the Columbus Blue Jackets for first place. They have been particularly impressive on home ice, winning nine of their first 12 at Madison Square Garden. Given Ottawa’s woeful road record, the Rangers should cruise to a victory in this one as they look to continue their early season dominance.

San Jose Sharks at Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo Sabres Buffalo Sabres

TipThe Buffalo Sabres have been the surprise of the season thus far, proving they are a legitimate force in the Atlantic Division. While nobody expects them to finish ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs or Tampa Bay Lightning, they are showing themselves to be a playoff contender. Carter Hutton has looked impressive in net and with just two losses in regulation after their first 10 games at home, the Sabres are worth a look against San Jose. The Sharks are still one of the league’s best teams but given this will be the first game of their Eastern road trip, they could still be feeling the effects of a three-hour time change. Coupled with the fact San Jose have won just four of their first 10 road games and it’s not hard to envision the home team picking up two crucial points.

Ottawa Senators at Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia FlyersPhiladelphia Flyers

TipThe Ottawa Senators will be playing the second half of a back-to-back when they visit Philadelphia to play the Flyers. With just two wins in their first nine games away from Canadian Tire Centre, they have been one of the worst travelling teams in the league. Expect that trend to continue on Tuesday night, with the Flyers picking up two desperately needed points on home ice. Both teams also have terrible defensive records, so the over could also be an interesting play.

Arizone Coyotes at Nashville Predators

Bridgestone Arena

Anaheim DucksNashville Predators

TipThis should be a lock for the Nashville Predators who have consistently proven their credentials as Stanley Cup contenders throughout the course of the season. They take on a poor Arizona Coyotes team, who have been even worse on the road picking up just four wins in their first 10 games away from home. Nashville has won eight of their first 11 at Bridgestone Arena and will be champing at the bit for this one.

New Jersey Devils at Washington Capitals

New Jersey DevilsNew Jersey Devils

November 30th, 2018
7:00 Pm ET

Capital One Arena

Detroit Red Wings

Washington Capitals

TipThe New Jersey Devils are not a very good hockey team and have been abysmal on the road to start the season. They have just two wins in their first 10 games away from home and will have a difficult time keeping up with the defending Stanley Cup champions at Capital One Arena. Despite Washington not playing their best hockey, they still find themselves battling for top spot in the Metropolitan Division and will only get better as the season progresses. The home side should be a lock on Friday night.
