Matchup Betting Tips for Week Four of the 2018 NFL Football Season
CIN Bengals (+5) at ATL Falcons (-5) – September 30
CIN Bengals |

ATL Falcons |
CIN Bengals +5 | ATL Falcons -5
Tip – Cincinnati’s defense was just gashed to the tune of 230 yards rushing by the Panthers a week ago. In comes Tevin Coleman, a career 4.2 ypc rusher, and an Atlanta Falcons offense who just went toe-to-toe with the Saints offensively. With AJ Green’s health in limbo, and Joe Mixon already ruled out, Cinci just doesn’t look to have enough firepower in their arsenal to keep pace with Atlanta. |
TB Buccaneers (+3) at CHI Bears (-3) – September 30
TB Buccaneers |
1.00pm EST Soldier Field |
CHI Bears |
TB Buccaneers +3 | CHI Bears -3
Tip – Giving Tampa 3 points seems like a blessing. Although Fitzmagic fizzled out somewhat in the first quarter of the Bucs week 3 loss to Pittsburgh, he rebounded in the second half. Fitzpatrick became the first ever quarterback in the Super Bowl era to throw for 400 yards in three straight games. Chicago’s defense is stingy, but the Bucs offense is too explosive to hold down. |
NY Jets (+7.5) at JAX Jaguars (-7.5)– September 30
NY Jets |
1:00 pm EST TIAA Bank Field |
JAX Jaguars |
NY Jets +7.5 | JAX Jaguars -7.5
Tip – While the Sam Darnold love affair has died down in recent weeks, the Jets are still a capable team. They’ve been in every game this season, including the ones they’ve lost. Jacksonville’s offense sputtered last week after impressing in week 2. The game should be played tight throughout as the two top 8 defenses battle it out. . |
MIA Dolphins (+7) at NE Patriots (-7) – September 30
MIA Dolphins |
1.00pm EST Gillette Stadium |
NE Patriots |
MIA Dolphins +7 | NE Patriots -75
Tip – I’m not quite sure whose record is the biggest shocker thus far. Miami’s wins have seemed flukey, and last week’s win came thanks to a few successful gadget plays. New England should be getting Josh Gordon in their lineup to help rejuvenate their offense. Still, with Rex Burkhead headed to IR, and Miami surrendering the 6th least ppg this season, the game could be closer than expected.
|
PHI Eagles (-4) at TEN Titans (+4) – September 30
PHI Eagles |
8:20 pm EST Nissan Stadium |
TEN Titans |
PHI Eagles -4.5| TEN Titans +4
Tip – Carson Wentz returned from injury in victorious fashion a week ago. This week he could be accompanied by the likes of Jay Ajayi and Alshon Jeffery. The Titans still have question marks at QB, as Marcus Mariota, while active, has been too unhealthy to start each of the previous two games. Wentz should only improve now, with some game-action under his belt.
|
NO Saints (-3.5) at NY Giants (+3.5) – September 30
NO Saints |
4:25 pm EST MetLife Stadium |
NY Giants |
NO Saints -3.5 | MetLife Stadium +3.5
Tip – To put it simply, New Orleans’ offense is incredible. Mike Thomas owns the record for most receptions through three weeks, and running back Alvin Kamara isn’t far off with 30 receptions of his own. New York showed some life in their first victory of the season a week ago. Still, the Saints and their nearly 35 ppg should prove to be too much for the G-Men to handle. |
