New York IslandersNew York Islanders

TipThe Pittsburgh Penguins have been one of the better teams on the road this season, collecting points in 8 of their first 12 games away from home. While, the New York Islanders have actually looked better so far than most would have expected in the first year of the post John Tavares-era, they likely won’t get the job done on Monday. We saw on Thursday the difference in quality between these two sides, and expect that to be the case again at the Nassau Coliseum.

New Jersey Devils at San Jose Sharks

TipThe New Jersey Devils have won just three of their first 14 games away from home this season, and will have a daunting task against the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks remain a legitimate Stanley Cup contender despite their early season struggles and have an impressive record at the SAP Center. We could see plenty of goals in this one, but take the home side to pick up two points.

Chicago Blackhawks vs Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg JetsWinnipeg Jets

TipThe Chicago Blackhawks are a terrible hockey team and even worse on the road, winning just four of their first 17 games away from home. The Winnipeg Jets on the other hand, are an exciting team to watch and are currently in a dogfight for top spot in the Central Division. The home side should be a lock and the over could be easy money as well.

TipA night after taking on the Jets in Winnipeg, the Blackhawks find themselves at home to take on a surging Pittsburgh Penguins side. As a result, backup goalie Cam Ward will likely be in net for the home team who cannot be blamed if they enter the contest more than a little tired given the circumstances. Take the visitors to cruise to a win on Wednesday night in Chicago.

Arizona Coyotes at Buffalo Sabres

TipCarter Hutton has looked great in net to start the season for the Buffalo Sabres as they may be the biggest surprise of the year thus far. Proving to be legitimate playoff contenders in the difficult Atlantic Division, this will be a game they view as a must-win. They are a better hockey team than Arizona and with their stellar record at home this season, they should have no problems picking up two points. The over may also be worth a look in this one.

Toronto Maple Leafs at Florida Panthers

TipThe Toronto Maple Leafs have looked fantastic this year both at home and on the road as they fight for top spot in the Atlantic Division. Florida find themselves near the bottom of the division, despite some pretty high expectations coming into the campaign. With William Nylander back in the lineup for the visitors, it’ll be tough for any team to compete with Toronto and this game could be over before it even starts. Take the visitors to get a win in regulation with the over also looking like a safe bet given the Maple Leafs’ firepower in front of net.
