Tip This is the first game to kick off our Thanksgiving festivities. Detroit will be without rookie standout Kerryon Johnson in this game, due to a knee injury. The loss of Kerryon, compiled with the fact that Chicago has surrendered the least amount of rushing yards per game, does not bode well for Detroit. Chicago is “cautiously optimistic” that QB Mitchell Trubisky will be ready to go on Thursday, as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. If he is healthy enough to play, Chicago should cover this line with ease.

WAS Redskins (+7.5) at DAL Cowboys (-7.5)

Tip – The Redskins lost their quarterback Alex Smith to a season ending injury a week ago, leaving an opening for Dallas to take this game and move into a tie atop the division. Washington will lean heavy on Adrian Peterson and the run game, but the play of Dallas’ young stud linebackers should shut that down. Colt McCoy takes over for Smith at QB. McCoy will move the offense, as he is mobile and smart. When McCoy left college he accumulated more victories than any other QB in College Football history. He will keep Washington within 7.5 points.

SEA Seahawks (+3.5) at CAR Panthers (-3.5)

Tip – Carolina has lost two games in a row, and is losing ground on the NFC playoff race. The Panthers have surrendered 5.0+ ypc in back to back weeks to opposition’s starting running backs. This week they get the league’s top-ranked rushing offense in the Seahawks. Seattle will dominate time of possession, and keep the ball out of Cam Newton’s hands, allowing them to stay within 3.5 points of Carolina.

PIT Steelers (-3) at DEN Broncos (+3)

PIT Steelers-3 | DEN Broncos +3

Tip – Pittsburgh is coming off a tough-fought victory a week ago. Look for them to bounce back this week, and flex their muscles offensively against the 21st ranked defense in the league. Also expect a heavy dose of James Conner in this one, as Denver is the 6th worst team against the run in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger has scored at least three touchdowns in three consecutive weeks, that trend should continue on Sunday.

MIA Dolphins (+9) at IND Colts (-9)

Tip – No quarterback is hotter than Andrew Luck is right now, tossing 3+ touchdowns in seven consecutive games. He should keep that hot streak going against the league’s 26th ranked defense. Yet, with that being said, nine points is a lot to cover. Miami gets Ryan Tannehill back under center, which should give some stability to the offense. If Miami features their two talented running backs, Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore, and allows Tannehill to use his mobility on play action, Miami should stay within the nine points.
