Old Trafford, Manchester
The race for Champions League qualification is still very much on – and these two sides are both in with a chance of a top four finish.
The extended honeymoon period enjoyed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United has ended with a drop in form in the league and a Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona. But things still look brighter than when Jose Mourinho was in charge. A top four finish is vital however and United should really go for the win at home here.
It has been a strange season at Chelsea – with fans continually expressing their frustration with Maurizio Sarri’s tactics and team selections. But the club are still sitting in the European qualification spots and have a great chance of making the top four if they get some good results in their final few matches.
Even when Mourinho was head coach at United they were still very hard to beat at Old Trafford – although the bookies are offering fairly attractive odds for a home win. Chelsea can sometimes look liker they are not interested and if that is the case here a Red Devils victory could be a good bet.
Seven of Chelsea’s defeats have come away from home this season – and most of them have been at the hands of the other big teams in the Premier League. It could be another frustrating night for the travelling fans as United could end up winning this 2-0.
Manchester United to win
It seems curious that Manchester United are not odds on with the sports betting sites to win this at home.
Chelsea to score under 0.5 goals
Chelse a have not been the greatest travellers this season and have scored no goals in five of their last seven matches.
