Man Utd vs Cardiff: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds

Old Trafford, Manchester
The final day of the season arrives as Manchester United look to push for the three points that would ensure a group stage start in next season’s Europa League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s honeymoon period at the club is definitely over but, even with the despondency of Manchester United fans, things could well have been worse if Jose Mourinho had stayed in charge. Victory over PSG in the Champions League is probably the highlight of the season but another European campaign awaits the Red Devils next year.
Cardiff’s inability to take their chances against Crystal Palace last week ultimately sealed their fate but the Bluebirds have looked relegation favourites all season and that home defeat only confirmed what many of their fans already knew. There was not much investment in the squad in the summer and although that has told in the top flight, it might mean that Neil Warnock’s side could do well back in the Championship again next season.
United have not played very well consistently this season – and it will be a summer of change at Old Trafford. Much is said about the ‘United way’ but Solskjaer needs to get his side playing positive, attacking football again – and that should start against Cardiff.
The bookies had Cardiff as relegation favourites at the start of the season and they have been proved right in their judgement. Neil Warnock will want to go out on a high but even with United in disarray this should end in a home victory – 2-1 to United.
Manchester United to win and both teams to score
The sports betting sites do not give Cardiff a chance here but the way United are playing the Bluebirds might manage a goal.
Manchester United to win by one goal
With little to play for this might not be the most exciting game of football but United should scrape a win.
