Man City vs Leicester: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Monday, May 6th, 2019 @3:00 pm
Etihad Stadium, Manchester
At the full-time whistle, Manchester City could be celebrating yet another Premier League title but Brendan Rodgers will be eager to do his old side Liverpool a favour and send the title race down to the wire.
The atmosphere of this game depends largely on the outcome of Liverpool’s match with Newcastle on Saturday.
If Liverpool lose, then City can wrap up the title against Leicester on Monday night, but the likelihood is the pressure will be on for Pep Guardiola’s men to get the three-points.
However, former Liverpool boss and now Leicester gaffer Brendan Rodgers could have a major say in the direction of the Premier League trophy and the Foxes are a dangerous side.
Since taking over the Leicester hotseat in February, Rodgers has guided the Foxes to eighth in the table and six wins from nine games making them a hot tip with online betting sites for a top ten finish next season.
Perhaps more impressive is Leicester’s away form under Rodgers, seven points from their last three road games and a total of eight goals makes the Foxes a force to be reckoned with meaning City will likely have to pick the ball out of their net at least once.
Admittedly, City are hardly slouches at home either with eight straight wins in the league, but with the pressures of the title and resurgent Leicester, the prediction for this game is that the Foxes will steal a point and continue their goal-scoring trend on the road in a nerve-shredding 2-2.

However, the last time Leicester visited the Etihad, there was no happy ending.
Sergio Aguero went on the rampaging scoring four of City’s five goals on the 10th February 2018 in a rip-roaring 5-1 win.
