Green Bay Packers vs Los Angeles Rams: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips
Sunday, 28 October 2018, 4:25 pm Eastern Time
LA Memorial Coliseum
The Packers will battle to keep pace in a competitive NFC North, while the Rams look to keep their undefeated record intact.
Last time we saw Aaron Rodgers on the football field he was doing his usual late game heroics, and placing a dagger in the hearts of 49ers fans everywhere. Rodgers brilliance has masked many deficiencies throughout the Packers roster, as has been the case for most of his Green Bay tenure. They have yet to have a running back rush over 65 yards in a contest this season, while ranking in the 20’s defensively in rushing yards surrendered.
While the Packers roster is littered with question marks, the Rams, on the other hand, are a well-oiled machine. They rank top seven in total defense, and top two in total offense. Todd Gurley has had three games with three touchdowns, and should continue his league-wide tear against an inadequate Packers rush defense.
When Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback, you have a chance to come out victorious in any game, but this one may be too steep of an uphill battle for A-Rod and his fellow Packers. Simply put, the Packers struggled to defeat a 1-5 49ers team, while the Rams have dominated week in and week out vs. much more inferior teams than the Packers will present on Sunday.
Score prediction: Rams Win 35-27
As stated before, Aaron Rodgers will keep the Packers alive in this game. The one slight hole in Los Angeles well-rounded roster is their secondary. Expect Rodgers to attack the combination of Troy Hill and Sam Shields as they try their best to replace injured All-Pro Aqib Talb. Davante Adams and his NFL’s second-ranked receiving touchdown numbers should get a bump this week.
Maybe the best offense in the NFL vs. the best talent at quarterback, this game has the “over” written all over it. The Packers have gone over 30 points in each of the last two games, while the Rams have hit the 30 point mark in all but one game this season.
