Defending Champions Chelsea Set To Host Arsenal At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea meet Arsenal on September 17 in the Premier League in one of the highlights of the weekend. After losing to Burley in the opening game of the season, the defending champions have found their stride and go into this tie just one point off the top of the standings.

Summer signing Alvaro Morata has settled into the team and found the back of the net in his side’s 2-1 victory away to Leicester last weekend, while the Blues were in full flow in front of goal in the Champions League earlier in the week as they won 6-0 at home to Qarabag.

Chelsea are now $5.50 with Bet365 to win the Premier League title; they have just Manchester City and Manchester United ahead of them in the outright betting. Three points against Arsenal would make a huge statement that they remain one of the candidates to lift the trophy at the end of the season.

Arsenal go into this game on the back of two Premier League defeats in their last three games. They were hammered 4-0 by Liverpool two weeks ago but they did beat Bournemouth 3-0 last weekend and had success against Cologne in the Europa League in their opening game in that competition.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Manchester United host Everton and they will be looking to keep up their excellent start to the campaign. The Reds have yet to taste defeat, although they did drop two points away to Stoke last weekend.

Everton will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to Atlanta in the Europa League just three days earlier. The Toffees sit in 16th place in the Premier League table and have only won one of their opening four matches. Defeat for Koeman would put pressure on his shoulders and his odds would be cut to be the next Premier League manager to leave their post.
