Chelsea vs Tottenham: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds

Stamford Bridge, London
Another London derby as west plays north at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge. Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for another three points to keep the pressure on at the top of the table.
Chelsea are going through a tricky patch at the moment with the 6-0 thrashing at Manchester City a particular low point. But they have also lost to Bournemouth and Arsenal recently and need to pick up a few points quickly to ensure that they don’t lose touch with their rivals for the fourth Champions League place.
Tottenham still lie just behind Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table but are now probably relying on both of those two slipping up if they are to push for the title this season. But Champions League football seems to be on the cards again for next season and the fans have been treated to some excellent performances this year.
For all the criticism levelled at Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have only lost one game at home this season. But confidence is not high at Stamford Bridge, so a victory over Spurs would do the club a world of good.
Tottenham have coped with the loss of Harry Kane and Dele Alli through injury remarkably well – with Heung-min Son and Fernando Llorente in particular looking very impressive in the England stars’ absence. This could be a tight affair however – and could end 1-1.
Betting sites have started to lengthen odds for Chelsea due to their recent displays but they have remained strong at home and could well manage a draw against Spurs in what could be a close game.
Total goals under
Chelsea have scored under 1.5 goals in five of their last seven matches and although there is a lot of attacking talent on display here, there may not be many goals.

Head to Head
These two sides have already played each other three times this season with Spurs winning the league fixture at Wembley by three goals to one in November.
- Harry Kane is still the top goal scorer at Spurs even after his injury lay off. But Christian Eriksen is the player making the goals – only Eden Hazard has more assists in the Premier League.
- Chelsea have conceded a lot of goals recently – and have been on the end of a couple of real thrashings. But only Liverpool’s Alisson and Manchester City’s Ederson have kept more clean sheets than Kepa in Chelsea’s goal.
- Tottenham are still the only club in the top four divisions to have not drawn a single game this season.
- As well as topping the charts for assists in the Premier League, Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s top goal scorer – something the addition of Gonzalo Higuain is supposed to change.
