Cardiff vs Liverpool: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Sunday, April 21st, 2019, 11:00 am
Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff
Cardiff’s penultimate home game of the season could see them relegated if results elsewhere go against them while Liverpool are also in a position where dropping points is not an option.
The Bluebirds have been dogged in difficult circumstances this season and have certainly done themselves and the city of Cardiff proud in the top flight.
However, it still looks like being a rapid return to the Championship for Neil Warnock’s men and this could prove to the game that sends them down.
Visitors Liverpool are unsurprisingly overwhelming favourites to win the match with popular sportsbooks and it is not hard to see why after Jurgen Klopp’s men have won their last five Premier League games in a row.
The Reds have also won all five of the sides five meetings this century, but Liverpool should be warned as Cardiff’s home form has been something of shining light in a difficult season.
Cardiff fans have seen their side win six times at the Cardiff City Stadium, although only one of those wins came against a side inside the top 10 – a 1-0 win against Wolves in November.
Liverpool’s form and record against the Bluebirds makes it impossible to look beyond the away win but the Bluebirds have scored in four of their last five home games as well as scoring in all their last five meetings with the Reds making a Liverpool 3-1 win the way to go.
