Turf Moor, Burnley
Manchester City look to keep the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the table – and pick up three points from their trip to Turf Moor.
Burnley are just about safe thanks to three successive victories against Wolves, Bournemouth and Cardiff. Before that nine-point haul Sean Dyche’s men had looked like they may get dragged into an unwanted relegation battle – but goals from Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood have helped Burnley look forward to another season of Premier League football next season.
With just three games to go Pep Guardiola knows that any slip up from his side could hand the title to Liverpool – so a win here is vital. City have played some wonderful football this season and with the disappointment of their Champions League exit behind them they can concentrate on picking up one more trophy for the season.
Some sports betting sites were starting to narrow the odds on Burnley going down, but that doesn’t seem to be the case any more. Sean Dyche will know that this game will be tough as he is facing some of the best footballers on the planet – desperate for three more points to help them pick up another league title.
The bookies still fancy Manchester City to win the league but Pep Guardiola will be taking nothing for granted with this game against Burnley. If the home side were closer to the bottom three then it could have been a much tougher match but with now Manchester City may be able to record a big win here – 3-0 to the visitors.
Total goals over 3.5
City will be going all out for a big win in the hope that it will affect Liverpool in the run-in.
Chris Wood to score at any time
If Burnley do manage to find the back of the net it is likely to be down to their New Zealand international who is on a fine run of form.

Head to Head
Burnley have not beaten Manchester City since 2015 – and Pep Guardiola’s men have won 5-0 against the Clarets on two occasions this season.
- Sergio Aguero has led the way in the race for the Golden Boot for the majority of the season and is still just about the favourite over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
- This season’s goal haul of 13 is the most by Burnley’s Chris Wood since his 2016/17 effort of 30 with Leeds United.
- Manchester City are still on course to repeat last season’s amazing effort of managing over 100 goals in a Premier League campaign.
- Burnley have never looked like repeating last year’s finish of seventh – but after their woeful early season form just staying up will be an achievement.
