Brazil vs Costa Rica Predictions
Many people predicted that Brazil would win each of their three Group E games but they could only pick up a point against Switzerland. Their second match should be significantly easier. They created plenty of chances and Neymar showed some excellent touches throughout. They can be considered fairly unlucky to have conceded a second-half goal and they should bounce back here. Costa Rica didn’t create too many chances against Serbia but they looked lively in the first half. They will need to offer more against Brazil. They were dark horses four years ago, topping their group ahead of England and Italy but they haven’t been able to build upon that. They are defensively solid but they lack firepower and are unlikely to upset the tournament favourites. Brazil should be able to collect three points here and can be backed at 1.16 with Pinnacle.
Brazil vs Costa Rica Preview
Brazil are still on course to qualify from Group E but they will need to collect three points from this encounter. Switzerland provided a stiff test for Tite’s men and they came close to nicking it in the final few moments. They lost control of that match in the second half but that is unlikely to happen in this game. They have ample firepower and have a number of talented players on the bench. The boss will have some difficult decisions to make ahead of this game. Costa Rica showed flashes against Serbia but they didn’t create much in the final third. It wasn’t a particularly absorbing match and this game should be far more entertaining. The CONCACAF side were only undone by a moment of magic but they will need to keep tabs on Neymar throughout the 90 minutes.
Brazil vs Costa Rica Correct Score Prediction
Costa Rica left the 2014 World Cup with plenty of credit but they don’t look as threatening this time around. They are defensively sound and Keylor Navas is a wonderful goalkeeper and they could make it difficult for Brazil. The South American side will keep probing and should eventually find a way through. Once their resistance is broken, expect them to improve their goal difference. 5-0 and 4-0 are likely scorelines and they can be backed at 16.00 and 8.50 with 888Sport
We’re expecting Brazil to find space amongst the Costa Rican defence and they should be able to grab a few goals in this tie. Over 2.5 Goals is highly likely to land in this tie and can be backed at 1.70 with Sports Interaction.
Both Teams to Score Prediction
Costa Rica failed to find the net against Serbia and showed flashes in the final third. Brazil’s defence has been excellent in recent months and is unlikely to be troubled by them. Both Teams to Score? No is available at 1.35 with Bodog and, although it is a short-price, it looks a fairly safe wager.
Brazil vs Costa Rica Odds
Brazil have won four of the last five meetings against this opposition. Brazil had over 15 attempts on goal against Switzerland. Brazil only won three of their seven games at the 2014 World Cup in 90 minutes. Neymar netted four times at the 2014 World Cup, all of which came in the group stage. Costa Rica finished top of their group at the 2014 World Cup. They’ve lost their last two World Cup meetings with Brazil by an aggregate score of 6-2. Brazil to Win and Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 1.66 with William Hill.
Tite’s Brazil are amongst the favourites for the 2018 World Cup and they will be expected to progress from Group E. They face Costa Rica in St.Petersburg and will be hoping to pick up three points. They’ve come through some tough fixtures in qualifying and shouldn’t have too many problems here. Their opponents were surprise packages four years ago, qualifying ahead of England and Italy and they will be hoping to cause similar problems once again.

Why should I bet on Brazil against Costa Rica?
Although they started brightly against Serbia it is looking unlikely that Costa Rica will repeat the success they found in Brazil four years ago when they reached the quarter finals. A defeat in their opening game and now they face a Brazilian side who will feel that a point in their first match against Switzerland was unjust considering the controversial Swiss equaliser. It would be a brave person to bet against Brazil coming away from this one with anything but the full three points. Betway are offering 2/13 on a Brazil win – one for the very careful punter.
An embarrassment of attacking talent means that goals can come from anywhere in the Brazil side. Switzerland were able to nullify Neymar to a certain degree and were only beaten by an absolute wonder strike from Coutinho. Although Liverpool fans will be clamouring for Firmino to be given a starting role it is unlikely that Tite will change his line up too much from the opener and that gives Gabriel Jesus a chance to show why he has been so valued by both club and country this season. 888Sport have the Manchester City striker at 11/4 to score first.
Costa Rica will know that Brazil are a different proposition to Serbia and will likely attempt to thwart the Brazilian attacks in an attempt to grab a goal at some point to keep their World Cup dreams alive. But the power of the attacking play from Brazil – not to mention their defensive qualities – surely means that Tite’s men will be expected to win big here. Although World Cup matches do not always deliver the big score lines this could be the exception. Betway are offering 7/1 on Brazil to win 4-0 and they might just be in the mood for handing out such a thrashing.
