Brazil Announce An Attacking 23-man Squad for the 2018 World Cup

Brazil have announced their World Cup 2018 squad with Neymar amongst the 23 players heading to Russia. The PSG-player has been recovering from a foot injury which required surgery and caused him to miss the last two months of the campaign. Doctors have confirmed that he will be fit enough to feature this summer, which is wonderful news for soccer fans.

Whilst Neymar is expected to recover in time for the tournament getting underway on June 14th, Dani Alves will definitely not feature. The veteran defender, who has represented his country at the previous two World Cups sprained his ACL in the French Cup final and is replaced in the squad by Danilo.

Tite has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal and his side remain one of the favourites for the tournament and can be backed at 4.97 with Sports Interaction.

According to our predictions, Brazil are expected to bounce back from the disappointment of 2014 and Neymar could be pivotal to their chances. The former-Barcelona man is expected to be amongst the top goalscorers at the tournament and he can be backed at 13.00.

He netted six times during the qualifying campaign and is joined by Gabriel Jesus who is priced at 19.00 to finish as top goalscorer in Russia.

Six Premier League Stars Included in the Squad

Premier League outfit Manchester City have a number of players featuring at World Cup 2018, with the likes of Ederson and Fernandinho included. The aforementioned duo of Danilo and Gabriel Jesus will also feature, with the latter expected to play a significant role.

Willian’s place in the squad was looking uncertain but the Chelsea midfielder has been selected by Tite. Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has enjoyed a hugely profitable season and will be heading to the tournament, following an appearance in the UEFA Champions League final.

Other players included in the squad include: Alisson, Miranda, Casemiro, Phillipe Coutinho and Douglas Costa.
