Best matches of the week

Arizona Coyotes at Tampa Bay Lightning

Amalie Arena

Tampa Bay LightningTampa Bay Lightning

Tip –The Tampa Bay Lightning have proven themselves to be the strongest and deepest team in the entire NHL as they continue to dominate opponents. They were the first team to officially qualify for the NHL postseason with a ridiculous 114 points through 72 games. At home, they are even more impressive with points in 32 of their first 38 games at Amalie Arena. Take the Lightning and the over on all relevant betting sites.

Montreal Canadiens at Philadelphia Flyers

Tip –Both the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers come into Tuesday’s contest desperate for points as they fight for their playoff lives. They sit third and fourth in the race for a Wild Card spot, continuing their pursuit of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Both teams have winning records at home and on the road, so expect to see a tight affair with neither team wanting to slip up. As a result, the under looks like the best bet on all your favourite sportsbooks.

Ottawa Senators at Vancouver Canucks

Tip –Despite their impressive win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night, the Ottawa Senators remain one of the worst hockey clubs in the league – especially after shipping away Mark Stone and Matt Duchene before the trade deadline. This is the first of a three-game road trip to Western Canada and the visitors will likely still be adjusting to the time change. They will also be playing the very next evening in Calgary against the Flames. The home team should cruise to two points on Wednesday night and the over also looks like a safe bet.

Winnipeg Jets at Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas Golden KnightsVegas Golden Knights

Tip –The Winnipeg Jets come into Las Vegas to play the second half of a difficult back-to-back that sees them take on the Anaheim Ducks the night before. The Golden Knights remain one of the most difficult teams in the league to play against on the road with T-Mobile Arena becoming an absolute fortress for them. Mark Stone has taken little time to adjust to life with his new club and Vegas look like they could mount another deep playoff run. Take the home side to get the job done on Thursday against what will very likely be an exhausted Jets’ side.

Philadelphia Flyers at Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Maple LeafsToronto Maple Leafs

Tip –The Toronto Maple Leafs have recently developed a bad habit of falling behind early, forcing them to claw their way back into games. However, they remain one of the league’s best teams and will be looking to build momentum heading into the playoffs. The New York Rangers on the other hand, have very little to play for at this time of the year as they firmly sit on the outside looking in of the postseason picture. They have been abysmal away from Madison Square Garden winning just 11 of their first 36 games on the road. Take the home side and the over in what could be a long night for the visitors.

Detroit Red Wings at Vegas Golden Knights

Tip –The Detroit Red Wings sit alongside the Ottawa Senators at the very bottom of the Eastern Conference standings after another disappointing campaign. With just 11 wins in their first 35 away games, it is not hard to see why they only have 60 points after 72 games played. Vegas will be viewing this as a must-win as they continue to fight for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Don’t expect to see the visitors put up much of a contest on Saturday night, with the home side collecting what should be an easy two points.
