Betting Tips – Week 19 of the NHL’s Season 2018- 2019

Best matches of the week

Anaheim Ducks at Toronto Maple Leafs

Anaheim DucksAnaheim Ducks

February 4th, 2019
7:00 pm ET

Scotiabank Arena

Toronto Maple LeafsToronto Maple Leafs

Tip –The Anaheim Ducks make their way East to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs before heading to Montreal to play the Canadiens the very next night. Expect to see starting goalie John Gibson get the start in this one for the visitors, but it’ll still be a difficult away game for the Ducks as they take on a Toronto Maple Leafs side who has looked good at home this year. The Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Jake Muzzin from the Los Angeles Kings during the All-Star break and it’ll be his first opportunity to impress the Toronto crowd. Expect Toronto to be fired up and get an important win on home ice. The over may also be worth a look on all relevant betting sites

Chicago Blackhawks at Edmonton Oilers

Chicago BlackhawksChicago Blackhawks

February 5th, 2019
9:00 pm ET

Rogers Place

Edmonton OilersEdmonton Oilers

Tip –Neither team has looked particularly impressive this season, but there is a ton of pressure on Edmonton to start picking up some wins and putting themselves in the playoff picture where fans and management alike expected them to be. They have only won 12 of their opening 26 games at Rogers Place, but their opponents have been absolutely dreadful on the road. Chicago has just eight wins in their first 25 games away from home and the Oilers will be looking at this game as the perfect opportunity to start trending in the right direction. Take the home side to collect a crucial two points.

Arizona Coyotes at Nashville Predators

Arizona CoyotesArizona Coyotes

February 5th, 2019
8:00 pm ET

Bridgestone Arena

Nashville PredatNashville Predators

Tip –Nashville find themselves in a real battle for top spot in the competitive Central Division, which is why this game will be considered a must-win for the home side. While Arizona has been much better on the road than at home this season, they are still one of the Western Conference’s worst teams and could be in for a long night in Nashville. The Predators have taking 16 of their first 25 games at Bridgestone Arena and will be champing at the bit to get on the ice Tuesday night. Take the Predators in regulation and the over in what could be a real ugly affair.

New York Islanders at New Jersey Devils

New York IslandersNew York Islanders

February 7, 2019
7:00 pm ET

Prudential Center

New Jersey DevilsNew Jersey Devils

Tip –The New York Islanders continue to shock the NHL as they sit atop the Metropolitan Division ahead of both the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals. They have been fantastic both at home and on the road this season and will be expecting a win against the last place team in their division. While the Devils have been much better at home than on the road throughout the campaign, the Islanders have a real belief in themselves at the moment and haven’t slipped up very often. Expect the visitors to cruise to a victory in this one, but it could be a rather low scoring contest.

Anaheim Ducks at Ottawa Senators

Anaheim DucksAnaheim Ducks

Ottawa Senators ***Ottawa Senators

Tip –This will be the second half of a back-to-back for Ottawa as they take on provincial rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs the night before at Scotiabank Arena. As a result, we could see a rather tired Senators’ side who may not be up for the fight against a decent Ducks’ team. Even though the Ducks will be playing their third game in four nights, they should still get an important win on the road in this one.

Detroit Red Wings at Buffalo Sabres

Detroit Red WingsDetroit Red Wings

February 9th, 2019
1:00 pm ET

First Niagara Center

Buffalo Sabres***Buffalo Sabres

Tip –It’s an Atlantic Division matinee affair when the Detroit Red Wings stop by Buffalo to play the Sabres. Buffalo has slipped in the standings recently, but will still believe they can make the playoffs. Detroit on the other hand, are in a re-building phase and will be in tough against a desperate team. The Sabres have also been a much better hockey team at the First Niagara Center than they have been on the road this year and should have no issues disposing of the Red Wings. Take the home side to earn a big win in regulation time.
