NY KnicksNY Knicks (+10)

Tip – Kicking off your NBA Christmas Day Special are the Bucks and Knicks. New York has lost four games in a row, all by an average of 14.5 points. Milwaukee owns the league’s best record, and possibly its best player. Giannis and company lead the NBA in defensive field goal percentage. Milwaukee should handle the dwindling Knicks with ease.

OKC Thunder (+1.5) at HOU Rockets (-1.5) O/U: 222 pts.

HOU RocketsHOU Rockets (-1.5)

Tip – James Harden has put the Rockets on his back in the month of December. Harden has averaged 37.8 ppg in his last eight contests, while adding 8+ assists in six of those games. Houston will be without CP3 once again, but that may benefit Houston in this matchup. “Point Harden” is a deadly cover for anyone in the league, and OKC has had their struggles when guarding ball dominant guards. They surrendered 28 points and 12 assists to De’Aaron Fox just three games ago. A safe Christmas bet would be to not go against the man with the large beard who happens to be donning the color red.

PHI 76ers (+4) at BOS Celtics (-4) O/U: 224.5 pts.

BOS CelticsBOS Celtics (-4)

Tip – The Celtics have dropped three out of their last four games. Philly is coming off a 25-point win over the Toronto Raptors, albeit they were without Kawhi Leonard. Philly is a solid basketball matchup against Boston. Joel Embiid is large enough to bully Al Horford in the paint, and agile enough to stay with Horford when he stretches the floor offensively. Philly will have the advantage on the boards, as they rank 6th in the NBA in defensive rebound percentage, as opposed to the 15th ranked offensive rebound percentage of Boston. Take Philly +4 in what will likely be a tough fought 48-minute battle.

LA Lakers (+9) at GS Warriors (-9) O/U: 235 pts.

LA LakersLA Lakers (+9)

GS WarriorsGS Warriors (-9)

Tip – Warriors should win this game SU, but based on the +9 line for LA, the Lakers seem to be the popular betting sites choice here. Golden State has let betters down over their 8-2 SU run, going just 4-6 ATS in that span. Golden State is just 2-5 in their past seven Christmas Day games. The over/under of 235 points seems a bit hefty, as the Lakers have surrendered under 108 ppg in the month of December, and have seen their score total hit the under in 13 of their last 18 games.

POR Trail Blazers (+6) at UT Jazz (-6) O/U: 214.5 pts.

UT JazzUT Jazz (-6)

Tip – Utah’s defense is what will help them cover this line, as they surrendered the 6th fewest points in the NBA. Utah games have gone UNDER in six consecutive contests, and that number will likely increase to seven following Tuesday night. Rudy Gobert will, at worst, contain Jusuf Nurkic in the paint. If Utah can slow down Portland’s dynamic duo in the backcourt, they don’t have much more offensive power to rely on.
