Tip – Boston has now dropped two games in a row, including a stinker on Saturday night vs. the putrid Chicago Bulls. Look for Kyrie to take the helm and bounce back vs. the second best team in the East. Boston is 4-1 ATS in their last five games vs. teams with a winning SU record. Toronto has left much to be desired when it comes to covering the spread lately, going just 3-7 over their last ten games.

OKC Thunder (+3.5) at DEN Nuggets (-3.5)

Tip – Both teams come into Tuesday night’s game going 7-3 over their last ten games. Denver gets the benefit of the betting world here, being pegged as the home favorites. Yet it’s the underdog in this matchup that has won the last eight ATS games. Oklahoma City is 4-1 ATS in their last five games vs. teams with a winning percentage of .600 or better. They are also 8-2 ATS in their last ten games when playing on two days of rest. This game is trending towards hitting the OVER as has occurred in five of OKC’s last six road games, and eight of Denver’s past ten home games.

Tip – Oklahoma City follows up their Tuesday game vs. Denver by returning home to face off with the ‘6ers. Philly big man Joel Embiid, who has been held out in recent games due to knee soreness, will be re-evaluated before Thursday’s tipoff. Not having the All-Star center in the lineup would be a huge blow for a 76ers’ team that is just 2-4 without him this season. To make matters worse, Philly is 1-19 since the conception of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Philadelphia, who is just 3-5 ATS in their last eight games, may very well tack on another “L” to that record by the end of Thursday night.

POR Trail Blazers at TOR Raptors

Tip – These are two teams on totally different ends of the spectrum in terms of recent success against the spread. Portland is riding a three game win streak, while the Raptors have endured a five game losing streak. Portland has been a favorite amongst top betting sites, going 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games. Portland has been amongst the NBA’s elite over the past month or so, and they can thank their big men for their success, as the Trail Blazers rank within the top five of the NBA in both offensive and defensive rebounds. Expect them to once again dominate the boards in Toronto, as the Raptors ranks 14th in both statistical categories.

Tip – Golden State has not been betting-friendly of late, covering just two of their last ten games, despite being 7-3 SU during that span. Golden State may, however, be worth a look vs. Philly. For all the allure of Oracle Arena, the Warriors have actually fared better ATS away from home this season. Golden State has dropped just a single game SU in their last ten road contests fuelled by the NBA’s most lethal scoring offense. Golden State has hit the OVER in eight of their last 11 road games, and if Joel Embiid doesn’t get cleared by Saturday, look for the Warriors to make it nine.

HOU Rockets at BOS Celtics

Tip – James Harden didn’t suit up for Houston last Saturday vs. the Warriors, and he didn’t need to. Houston shocked Golden State, led by CP3’s 23 and 17 game. Now with Harden and his 36.5 ppg back in the lineup, Houston will look to continue their climb to Western Conference supremacy. Boston’s offense has become Kyrie or bust, as no player not named Kyrie has scored 20+ points in three straight games. Houston, who developed a reputation as a poor defensive unit in the past, ranks 4th in the NBA this season in defensive three point percentage. If they can lock down Boston on the perimeter, and force the ball out of Kyrie’s hand, Boston could very well suffer their third loss (SU/ATS) in their last four home games.
