Tip – Portland kicks off of 14-day, seven-game road trip in Brooklyn on Thursday night. The Trail Blazers are 6-4 in their last ten games and 4-1 ATS in their last five vs. the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn, maybe the surprise team in all the NBA to this point, has ripped off six straight ATS victories vs. the Western Conference, yet they have dropped six of their last nine contests SU. Portland’s got a tough road ahead of them, but will get off on the right foot vs. Brooklyn. Advancing their ATS record to 8-2 in their last ten games vs. teams over .500. When these two teams meet up, they tend to bring along the offensive fireworks, hitting the over in five of their past six head to head matchups.

Tip – As rumors continue to swirl, circulating around Kyrie’s future whereabouts, Boston needs to focus on the here and now. What better way to come out of the All-Star break than re-cementing themselves as true contenders? Boston tends to play up to their competition, which is good news when you’re facing off against the best team in the East. The Celtics are 5-1 ATS In their last six games vs. teams with winning % of .600 or greater. Scoring should be relatively low, as Boston has hit the UNDER in each of their past six away games. While Milwaukee has hit the UNDER in five of their past six contests.

HOU Rockets (-1) at LA Lakers (+1)

LA LakersLA Lakers

Tip – No NBA team may have a more important second half of the season than the LA Lakers. Jobs are on the line, coaches and players alike. LeBron seems to be back to full strength, and he’ll need to be to help slow down the NBA MVP front-runner in James Harden. Lakers have gone 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games, and hit the OVER in five of their last six. James Harden has scored 30-points or more in 31 consecutive games, and will likely extend that streak vs. Los Angeles. The Lakers’ defense forfeits the 9th most points in all of basketball. Yet, even with Harden’s heroic offensive efforts, the Rockets are just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games.

Tip – San Antonio had been one of the better teams based on payouts amongst betting sites for most of the season. Yet they’ve hit a bit of a slump of late, winning just two games ATS over their last ten contests. Toronto has been dominant at home this season, accumulating a record of 23-5 ATS at home. Home teams have controlled the head to head matchup between these two teams. The home team has gone 7-3 ATS in the last ten matchups.

Tip – Wells Fargo Center has been home sweet home for the ‘6ers this season. Philadelphia is 23-7 ATS in their home arena this season. Portland has struggled against the upper echelon of the NBA, going just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games vs. teams with a winning record. Portland is just 2-5 ATS in their last seven matchups vs. Philly. The home team has won four of the last five games ATS between these two franchises.

HOU Rockets at GS Warriors

Tip – Houston is eight games below .500 ATS on the road this season. Not a good trend when you’re traveling to Oracle. Surprise, surprise, Golden State is dominant at home, as well as everywhere else. The Warriors are +15 in the win column ATS when playing in Oakland. While the odds may have not been released yet, Golden State is the obvious spread favorite. Over the last five meetings between Houston and Golden State, the favorites have won four. James Harden may once again reach his 30-points, but Houston’s 14th ranked defense will be no match for the NBA’s top scoring unit of Golden States.
