The last eight of the Europa League gets underway at Benfica’s Estádio da Luz with visitors Eintracht Frankfurt looking to make it 16 games without defeat across all competitions.

German side Eintracht Frankfurt head to Portugal as the form side in European football having not tasted defeat either domestically or on the European stage since the 22nd December.

That is a run of 15 games without defeat and leaves Adi Hütter’s men fourth in the Bundesliga and on course to swap Europa League football for the Champions League next season.

Frankfurt have also gone unbeaten in the Europa League this season and earned their spot in the quarter-finals after brushing aside Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter Milan in impressive fashion.

It is because of that; many people are backing Eintracht with the best betting sites to make it through to the last four, but Benfica cannot be written off just yet.

The 36-time Primeira Liga champions came through a tense last 16 tie with Dinamo Zagreb, but more importantly, Bruno Lage’s men are unbeaten in their last eight home games in all competitions.

That makes backing against Benfica on home soil hard to advise but with Eintracht’s record this season you cannot expect them to lose either.

That leaves just one result, the draw, and considering half of Frankfurt’s last four Europa League games have been a draw, that makes a stalemate the best prediction with famous sportsbooks for this game with the visitors harbouring the edge ahead of the second leg in a 1-1 result.
